Pangatotara Organic Pears
The Zeisburg family has been certified organic with Asurequality for more than 15 years now, farming Wiltshire sheep, beef and cropping linseed, wheat and oats near Hawarden. In 2018 they bought a small run-down pear orchard nestled in a wee slice of heaven near Motueka. Planted in the 1990s with Taylor Gold, Comice, Beurre Bosc & Red Bartlett pears it was cared for over 2 decades, but eventually became neglected. Honeysuckle, old man's beard & blackberry grew rampant & wild pigs feasted on the falling pears. Sandy and David saw potential in this little orchard given there had been no chemicals or spraying used during its years of neglect and converted it to organics. The fist vintage of Beurre Bosc organic pear juice was launched in 2021. Their vision is to rejuvenate these old trees, respect and nurture them, take only what they can afford to give to us, working with nature and for nature.No matching products found
