Raw Rewarewa Honey 72 MGO
$21.99
500
grams
Honeysuckle delivers a divine nectar, with rich smokey caramel undertones. Natural & unadulterated
An outstanding batch of the Rewarewa nectar from our beautiful new site inland from us towards Puhoi where the native Rewarewa are alongside our hives, and prevalent in the thick bush covering the mountainsides. The flavour is divine...sweet malty caramel and rich, with a woody cinnamon finish. The flower bracts of the Native Honeysuckle are crimson red, delivering a tasty nectar the bees love to collect.
This batch has been Lab tested and sits at a 4.6 NPA and a 72 MGO. A good rating for every day honey.
It is currently not certified organic, but it probably would be if they went through all the expense and hassle to get certified. This honey is about as ideal as it can be in terms of beekeeping methods; natural materials used, the bees are left enough honey for winter, nowhere close to other agriculture.
