Charleen's Harvest
Charleen's fresh produce and free-range duck eggs are staples in her family diet at home and she hopes you can benefit from them as much as they do!How our food is grown matters, and that's why she tries to produce the most nutrient-dense, tasty vegetables that she can on her little block of land in Franklin.
She believes that "if you cannot keep doing something forever then, by definition, it is not sustainable", so that's why her focus is on organic practices and building top-soil. By not tilling, making her own compost, and always keeping the soil covered, she prevents soil erosion and createsconditions where earthworms and soil micro-organisms can thrive.
They feed the plants, so the plants can feed us!
